Brian Smith Walters, Tenor

Brian: Having studied French horn and voice in my degrees at the University of the Pacific and the Royal Northern College of Music, I spent my post-university years playing horn professionally and singing. Since 2008, I have focused exclusively on singing.

In the past few years of freelancing as a tenor, I have had the chance to perform some great roles. A short list of these includes: Parsifal, Peter Grimes, Don José (Carmen), Aegisth (Elektra), Siegmund (Die Walküre), Loge (Das Rheingold), Male Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia), Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas), The Shepherd(King Roger), Schreiber (Tannhaüser), Melot (Tristan und Isolde), and Tichon (Kat'a Kabanova); and the creation of the roles Jacko (Jacko's Hour), Sampiero (Dreamhunter) and Lenny (The Choker). Please contact for a full list of roles, available on my CV.

I am also an experienced vocal teacher and coach, having been teaching since 2003, working with both individuals and ensembles. Though I focus on classical and musical theater styles of singing, I have also taught pop, rock, jazz, and country styles.
